Hi David;
I'm still here, and was hoping to post something this weekend. We were away for the whole summer, and have been home only one weekend since, so I haven't even looked at my (mostly snapshot) pics from England and the west coast of Vancouver Island. You have inspired me to make sure I post something this weekend--even if it's something old!
I like the compostition and mood of this one.

Great to hear from you Leslie - I have a zillion images from Australia and Hawaii we're still sorting through. One of my oldest friends, who retired from teaching early and now works for himself turning beautiful wooden objets d'art bowls on his lathe, has recently paid me the gracious compliment of asking to commission a mounted image of my choice that he will buy from me - I'm going to refuse the money, but will trade him for another bowl - this image is the one I've printed and am having framed for him.

Where did you go in England? Janie and I spent our first year of married life there, in Oxford, and were back there just this spring - only for a day, rest of the time in London. If I had a million dollars, that's where I'd be.

Cheers.

Lesley - when will I learn to spell your name right?

Hello again
We started with a week on a narowboat in Wales with the kids and grandkids and the English grandparents. Then another week in Wales, in the Breccon Beacons before heading to Falmouth and Dartmoor. We then met Danish friends and went to Kings Lyn and Norfolk and then up to the northeast corner of England and down through the Peak District to Heathrow--leaving England 3 days after the "scare". Great holiday, with lots of wonderful sights, but also lots of driving on those narrow roads. Where did you go in Australia? Haven't been there for over 30 years.

Hey David,

Great to see you're continuing to produce your usual fabulous images.

Love this one. Reminds me of the last day of the workshop I attended this year.

Hi Lesley, Shaun and Mark - must be past daylight savings time - people are coming back here!

We spent 3 weeks in Australia, much of the time with our daughter who's been at teacher's college there, returning in two weeks - Sydney north past Brisbane to Fraser Island in Queensland at the northernmost - what a huge country, to which we shall return. Then a week in Hawaii - mostly business, but a bit of sightseeing.

In the New Year, we're moving back to Toronto from London, with my law firm having decided to close the office here, and take me back to the mother ship. Lots of trepidation, but excitement too.

Will try to put some Australian images up soon - not a lot of art, I'm afraid, though.

Lesley - Hamer is a Welsh name - isn't it a neat little country?

Cheers.
