YES Another Workshop

I was fortunate enough to attend a Fall workshop this year. Here is one of the pictures I made while there. You can also see more from the workshop at:

Nice to see you back, Mark - you who started this place! This image is truly Pattersonesque - all the principles he teaches. Please show us more.

How's the young 'un?

I love the light!
Had a look at the others and really liked the one with the sock feet and rubber boots. One suggestion--clone out the button in the middle of the tummy as that's what draws my eye. Absolutely perfect focus and exposure.
What was your assignment this time? Hope your group this time was as great as the one we experienced. I still think we were very lucky.
Very nice to see you posting again.
Cheers.

My assignment was "Living Dangerously". Obviously I could have done a literal interpretation, by showing pictures of someone running with scissors, etc... I instead chose to interpret it as living dangerously photographically speaking (for me personally). So I made images very non-typical of anything I would normally create. Black and white from digital (which I'd never done before), combined with self-portraiture (which I wouldn't ever do).

I think you did a great job--composition, light etc. are excellent. What method did you use for changing them to black and white? Whatever you did, you certainly achieved a great range of tones and good contrast.
